Google Ads Experience
Throughout my career, I’ve created and managed Google Ads campaigns for a number of small businesses and non-profits. One of the most successful campaigns has been for the non-profit that I founded, the Haiti 323 Project. As a 501c3 non-profit, the Haiti 323 Project qualifies for the Google Ad Grant program, which gives eligible non-profits $10,000 of free Google Ads each year. The program has a few restrictions, but it has proved to be extremely valuable to our organization. In fact, our sewing supplies donation ad campaign has been so successful that it’s currently paused, because we’ve received more than enough donations for the year.
One the primary measures of a successful Pay-Per-Click campaign is the CTR (click through rate). The average CTR for all industries is 3.17%. The CTRs for our ads are far above the average - 9.58% in 2019 and 10.17% in 2020. Here’s a graphic from Wordstream depicting the average click through rate for different industries.
