SEO
The competition for Haiti-related keywords is strong. There are many large, well-established Haiti organizations, both religious and secular, that dominate first page rankings.
When I launched the new Haiti 323 Project website in 2015, the website was new so it was unranked. To improve our rankings, I focused on several keyword phrases and optimized the website and its content for those keywords. I used only “White-Hat SEO” tactics (the usage of optimization strategies, techniques and tactics that focus on a human audience opposed to search engines and completely follows search engine rules and policies).
Over the course of several months, the website improved in search engine rankings. Today, the website dominates the first page results for several keywords and often times the website is ranked number 1 for those keywords. To illustrate, here are several screenshots of Google’s first pages that were taken in November 2020.
